My Brown Eyed Girl

I thought you might need a re-cap on the events of the past couple of weeks!

Brie finished school 2 weeks ago, she had an end of the year party on Saturday & they got their diplomas & a SUPER cute photo album from their teacher! They put on a couple end of the year skits & got to see a firetruck up close!

That same day was her dance recital, so after the party we hurried off to Graham for dress rehearsal. I was the backstage mom, so I couldn't film, but Josh did! Thank goodness! She did an AWESOME job during the real recital! (we aren't allowed to film the actual recital so I don't have anything from it). Afterwards, we went to eat pizza with Hunny & Poppa & then went to see some special friends who were in.

Her last t-ball game was this week. (thank goodness!) She finished out the year & did better than I expected.

Overall, she has seriously improved in the way of social skills. (the whole reason for why I put her in all these activities!) My original plans were to home school her, but then seeing her need to be "put out there" in a more social environment made me change my mind. She was such an introvert, she would freak out whenever someone would talk to her. (even people she knew)

However, now she will speak when spoken to (and without putting her hands in her mouth!), she is more outgoing (not a lot but better), and she actually performed in front of an audience/people she didn't know. Maybe I'm just a hard nosed mom, but I'm so proud of her progress she has made.

Oh & I got her signed up for Kindergarten next year!
