Get your duck tape & boxes ready!

Ok, so it's final! We are moving.... (Gasp). Just to a different house here in Olney, actually it's the church parsonage! They are fixing it up & we will be moving in a couple of months. Seeing as how there are tons of things to pack, I've already started. My house already looks bare, the living room, hall, bathroom, & Brodie's room walls are BARE!! Oh, yeah and the walls in our room too! Next on the list is Brie's room somewhat & the dreaded closets. Josh is making fun of me because I've already started packing & there are boxes EVERYWHERE, but there is no way I could wait till the last minute to pack.
The parsonage is what we call the "youth house". Since nobody lives in there that is where the youth meets for Sunday School, Sunday nights, & Wednesday nights.
I'm a little sad to move because the house we are in is the one I grew up in & has ALWAYS been home. I finally finished Brie's Little Mermaid room, & Brodie's room was complete as well. Now I'm going to have to redo them. The perk is I can pick any colors I want & I don't even have to paint at the new house. Someone else will... well that's kinda sad too, we have always done our own painting. Oh well, at least there won't be paint everywhere! Hopefully!

Venting a little steam!

As a family our way of living has drastically changed, as some of you know, due to the visitor we currently reside with. While I love, love, love being a mother to my own little family, I didn't take said visitor to raise! While it's my motherly duty to pick up after my own children, feed them, clean & clothe them, I don't feel the need to do these motherly activities for a GROWN person. For my HUSBAND, YES! Anyone else....NO! Am I makin sense? I mean it's like having 4 children in my house! FOUR kids you say, how can that be? Well my precious sweet 2 little ones, Brie & Boots, & then there of course is Josh... he might as well be a kid, & last the VISITOR.
Today for example, while doing the laundry I had mastered the feat of having a small load left, so in order to have a load worthy to wash I offered to do a few clothes with ours. In the midst of putting the load from the washer to the dryer & getting it back out of the dyer, which is how laundry gets done, did I once get a "thank you". As a mother I don't do all these things to get "thank yous" but it would be nice to get one from the visitor. I believe the visitor just expects these things of me because it's what I do. To me it is a pathetic excuse when a grown visitor is staying with someone and they just expect everything to be handed to them. I pray & hope that if my children ever have to go stay with someone else (when they get older) that they are at least courteous enough to pick up after themselves, say THANK YOU!, appreciate what others do, & well this list could just go on & on. These are just your every day manners I'm talking about here.

RESOLUTION or REVELATION!

I've been thinking for weeks that I haven't posted & haven't been able to come up with anything. I didn't want the same 'ol Christmas blog, New Year blog, or even the New Year's resolution blog. Although I've been leaning more towards the resolution blog, I have been struggling to find a good resolution. Of course I want the ones that every one else blogs about, but that's just not fun... especially when most everyone else has done the same thing! So today I got on and looked at on of my many favorite blog pages, FriedOkra, & she gave me the idea of my New Year's Resolution... ok are you ready?....
...... be a better blogger!!!
I don't mean just blog more often, spice up my page, and all those type things I mean really write a GOOD blog / or post.
Sound easy?... not to me. I have looked back on the blogs I have written & thought man those really stink! She gives some pointers on how to blog better. So, by george I think I've found it, my new years resolution AND it has been right under my nose this whole time & I failed to see it!

Oh and by the way...
HAPPY NEW YEAR!!
